DRUG INTERACTIONS
Pyridoxine may increase the peripheral metabolism of levodopa, reducing therapeutic efficacy in patients with Parkinson's disease.
SIDE EFFECTS
Adverse reactions have been reported with specific vitamins, and generally at levels substantially higher than those in Orabex. However, allergic and idiosyncratic reactions are possible at lower levels.
PRECAUTIONS
It should be given cautiously to patients taking levodopa as pyridoxine reduces the effect of levodopa. Hypersensitivity may develop in patients previously given thiamine, specially after repeated injections of concentrated solution; give subsequent injections with care. Discontinue drug if untoward reactions develop. Intramuscular administration may cause transient pain; when used undiluted, administer slowly.
Promotes metabolic process
Vitamin B Complex acts as an essential cofactor for hundreds of enzymes and plays a role in glucose, lipid, and amino acid metabolism, which ultimately helps to improve digestive system.
Helps to improve digestive functions
Reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Canadian School of Natural Nutrition recommends taking a supplement that contains the most important B vitamins, daily. B-complex will support nervous system and might help to prevent diabetic neuropathy. Moreover, Vitamin B helps to activate enzymes which break down the homocysteine level.
