Responsibilities & Context

  • Identify and evaluate potential principal of pharmaceutical APIs to ensure they meet quality and regulatory standards
  • Negotiate contracts with customers to secure favorable terms, including pricing and others.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical API sector.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company growth targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote APIs, including digital marketing, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
  • Develop and implement effective sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets, focusing on both new customer acquisition and growth of existing accounts.
  • Engage with customers to understand their requirements, provide product information, and offer technical support to drive sales.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prepare regular sales reports, and provide insights and recommendations for improving sales performance.
  • Manage all necessary documentation related to API sourcing and development of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in both manufacturing plant and head office including R&D, QC, QA, FRD, PMD, SCM, Commercial, regulatory affairs, and logistics to ensure seamless operations.
  • Address and resolve any issues that arise in the sourcing, marketing, or sales processes promptly and effectively.
